Left wing almost done...

Reasonably productive day today - finished all the cap strips, for rib
5 and rib 1; top and bottom. Painted light "z" clips, added felt, and
attached to wiring. Installed rib #13 center and tail; trimmed the
spar and machined rib in prep for tomorrow's gluing of the tip. I'm
getting to the end of the manual, and I don't have the fuselage yet -
I'm dragging my feat a but so I don't run out of things to do...

I'm so glad I came across this blog! I grew up in Driggs, ID and learned to fly there while in high school back when Eric Soyland ran the FBO. If you'd ever be interested, it just so happens that I fly the original Carbon Cub on a regular basis, as my old boss and very good friend owns it. In fact, I picked it up at Cub Crafters and brought it to it's new (and VERY nice) home in Ennis, MT. It would be great to get the two birds together for some photos! My email is davidboyd@hotmail.com.
